At L.Z. Family Martial Arts we are very
concerned with the well-being and education of our children. We
understand that younger children have a shorter attention span. Our
unique children's program uses interesting and challenging methods
to keep the students' attention and expand their attention span. We
teach our young students the skills that they can use for life and
promote non-violent solutions to conflict. Our methods help children
explore and understand conflict through role-playing and other
exercises. Students will learn confidence, self-discipline, and
self-control as they learn how to act and react to the world around
them. Our young students are treated with respect and are taught to
return that respect to others. We believe in praise, encouragement
and positive reinforcement. We have incentives for good academic
report cards, attitude, and martial skills. We teach children the
value of making goals and working to meet them and just feeling good
about themselves.
Youth Student Pledge™
1. I will listen to my parents the
first time. 2. I will do my schoolwork and hand it in on
time. 3. I will not argue with my parents or my teachers. 4. I
will treat my family and other students with respect. 5. I will
always try my best at whatever I do. 6. I will only use my
martial arts training with my Parent's permission.
What to ExpectUpon enrollment and throughout your Martial
Art experience, you'll receive homework assignments from your
instructor. This will help you maintain and grow into the Martial
Art experience. Our job is to open the door to the experience, but
you have to walk through it. The rewards in the Martial Arts are
measurable by how you feel and think about yourself. The path of
Martial Artists is like life, to accomplish a dream. You will learn
to persevere. Learning perseverance, self patience, self-awareness,
fun in a new sense and the ability to enjoy hard work will build
character. Laziness in not an option. There are winners and there
are losers. In the Martial Arts, all can learn to be winners.
